In its latest edition of collaborations, Balenciaga has teamed up with Paris-based musicians Acid Arab for a limited-edition range of merchandise.

The line of clothing comprises a selection of unisex clothing and accessories, all in fluorescent green (perfect for a late night in the club), printed with the words Acid Arab in both Arab and Roman lettering. The collection includes an oversized zip-up hoodie, a sweatshirt, a long sleeve t-shirt and sweatpants.

The collaboration features an exclusive playlist curated by Acid Arab for Balenciaga and is available to stream or download on Apple Music. The limited-edition clothing range that is the highlight of the capsule, will be available in Balenciaga stores and online at Balenciaga.com.

The collaboration is backed up through a dedicated augmented photography campaign, lensed by Eamonn Freel. The campaign will accompany the merch and playlist, to create a three-way collaboration. Freel has previously worked with the French fashion house on Balenciaga Eyewear and its High Summer campaigns.

Acid Arab was founded in Paris in 2012 and are a pioneering DJ collective that are considered leaders in the new ‘Electro-Orientale” genre. A key initiative to the collective is to create a space for Arab culture to merge with the world of contemporary music. Their blend of Western electronic and Eastern sounds and vocals have won them global acclaim.

Balenciaga has for some time now served as an official curator for Apple Music, selecting artists to create original playlists for the streaming site. The houses creative director Demna Gvasalia is solely responsible for the curation. Demna began this series by first uploading his own playlist accompanied by exclusive drops and limited-edition merch. The Georgian-born designer has thus far collaborated with Rammstein, RuPaul, and French pop artists Aya Nakamura.
