Renowned contemporary streetwear brand Sivasdescalzo (SVD) has announced its arrival in the Middle East with a luxurious store in Dubai Design District (D3). The flagship store will cover a total area of 600m2, making it SVD’s biggest store in its ever-expanding retail network.
SVD is Born
Born as a fashion editorial, over a decade ago in Barcelona, the brand has since established itself as a worldwide destination for innovation, cultural musings and emerging labels. SVD (Instagram) offers a carefully curated and handpicked selection of the latest and rarest items from luxury brands, including Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Reebok, Stussy, Comme des Garcons, and more.
Prime location
Located in the heart of D3, SVD will not only benefit from, but also complement, the District’s thriving fashion design scene. The company will also house its offices at D3, to create a seamless consumer connection, which the brand has come to be known for.
SVD as a design space
Setting up in Dubai Design District meant that the store would need to have a signature aesthetic to fit its surroundings. The two-storey layout is accentuated by a twisting green iron structure that serves as a dynamic pop-up space. Through its combination of raw, natural elements and smooth steel, mirrors and resin surface the space comes to life with a modern and contemporary immersive atmosphere. The store also has a mezzanine level which blends sand aggregates and velvet-textured steel, embodying the Middle East’s unique blend of desert sophistication and contemporary flair.
Commitment to the experience
The retail brand has become known for its elevated shopping experience. Through its attention to detail and sophisticated design, the store promises to inspire and leave a lasting impact in the region. like many other retail spaces in the region and beyond, the new destination is not just a retail store but serve as a community hub where like-minded people can mingle. SVD has dedicated its space to radio broadcasting, pop-ups and podcasts.
