After their successful collab last year, Puma x Butter Goods teamed up for a sophomore collection that draws inspiration from the Butter Goods ethos, where skateboarding and music collide. The 90s-inspired collection brings about a nostalgic feeling for the years gone by.
This new collection brings archive-inspired silhouettes to contemporary fits, blending Puma’s sportswear with Butter Goods’ unconventional approach – music and sports have never looked this good. The result of this collaboration features retro-inspired prints and designs and bold all-over prints. It includes a selection of polos, hoodies, graphic tees, totes and caps. We’re sold.
The sophomore collections come with a second spin by the brand on the Puma Slipstream Lo. The sneaker arrives in two colourways, a 90s-inspired white, complete with a speckled sole and accents of purple and green. A reworked version of the classic Puma Suede VTG delivers a rough suede look in blue and white colourway options.
Elsewhere in the collection, you’ll find striking co-branding and retro-inspired colourways. The polo, one of the standout pieces in the collection, arrives in two colourways that feature a large athlete graphic on the front over a graphic all-over print.
Images and visuals from the campaign showcase music’s strong influence on the Butter Goods brand. Photographer and skateboarder Atiba Jefferson worked alongside Liv.e and Mndsgn to create an original soundtrack for the campaign.
The video for the campaign is voiced over by Usain Bolt, who plays an animated Super PUMA, chasing a butterfly in a pair of Slipstream Lo Puma x Butter Goods.
The Puma x Butter Goods collection is available in all Puma stores across the UAE and PUMA.com. Dropkick, Level Shoe District, Sneaker District and Edgar.ae will sell the collection as well. SNKR Store, Sole Lab and Dropkick will be stocking it in Kuwait.
