Saudi Arabia’s Soundstorm festival is set for a trio of debutants at its Soundstorm festival in December.

Event organizers MDLBeast are bringing DJ Khaled, Post Malone, and Bruno Mars to its epic dance festival, which is set to return this year. The event will take place over three days in the Kingdom’s capital, from December 1-3. The latest edition of Soundstorm moves to a slimmer schedule, with MDLBeast reducing the number of days from 4 to 3.

MDLBeast is ramping up the star power at this year’s festival, adding the three mega-stars to a list that already includes David Guetta, Marshmello, DJ Snake, Carl Cox, Solomun, and Nigerian Afro-pop star Wizkid.

The event will be held in the district of Banban, on the outskirts of Riyadh. In recent years the event has grown in popularity and is now one of the largest of its kind in the MENA region. MDLBeast announced that last year the event was attended by more than 730,000 people. Saudi Arabia has, in recent years, relaxed some of its laws, allowing for entertainment events to be held in the city. Its drive towards becoming a global tourist powerhouse and diversifying its economy from a predominantly oil-based one is at the centre of these new laws.

“Saudi Arabia’s music scene has been thriving for the past two decades behind closed doors,” said Tala Albahiti, Chief Operating Officer at MDLBEAST. “With every edition of Soundstorm, we further blow these doors wide open. It’s incredibly special to see music lovers enjoy this new reality, in a safe place with the highest standards of music entertainment.”

“Talent is at the heart of everything we do at MDLBeast. As well as bringing superstar global headliners to the kingdom, it is also essential to us that we centre our efforts on showcasing unseen talents from across the region.”

This year’s festival will also double in size, with organizers bringing more food and beverage options, open seating spaces to chill out and on-site parking for all general admission ticket holders.
