The Santoni FW/23 Women’s Collection sees a new hyper-feminine dimension arise, where reflections exceed the material world. It is a continuous dialogue that reveals light and matter, as the Italian firm’s collection celebrates the infinite and dynamic dualism of it’s pure craftsmanship.
The narrative of light begins in the reflection, mirrored in the collection’s elegant leitmotif, the double buckle plate. The iconic silhouette is proposed as a jewelled version that has been transformed into a crystal pavé in the Sabille ballet flats and pumps. Adding splendour to the collection through its modern and sophisticated femininity, the brand introduces the Andrea loafer, which bears the name of the house’s founder.
Boots, moccasins, and sneakers…
New forms and perspectives are founded through light’s encounter with the urban universe. Here, footwear is crafted from hand-painted leather, patent leather and velvet. A new, special colourway is introduced to the mules, while moccasins feature chunky soles and are embellished with the iconic plate. The brand’s sneakers reveal their narrative through unexpected detailing and volume. The Sneaker-Air silhouette is a vision of modernity and luxury, reflecting light through the use of its gradated crystals.
Accessories
In the accessories department, Santoni provided a new offering in ThePluto bag, which features a special design on the flap that features the brand’s iconic double buckle. The bag comes in two models – a shoulder bag with golden finishes, and a colourful clutch embellished with crystal pavé.
A diverse colour palette
The colour palette for the collection spans a wide range of hues, from the most delicate and nuanced lilacs, nude, and light grey to intense colours like yellow, teal, burgundy and Arancio Santoni. Through reflections of light, this chromatic story develops into an elegant, polished shade of black.
At the Santoni space in via Montenapoleone 9, the artisanal creations portray the protagonist of the collection – the love relationship between light and matter. Through the reflection of mirrors which were installed for the show, pieces from the collection reveal their images, highlighting unprecedented details, sartorial perceptions, and expressive creativity to create an ever-changing, introspective, and unique journey.
